Terms of Service — Starmap Labs

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Starmap Labs company website (the “Site”) at starmaplabs.com. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

These terms cover the marketing website only.

Mobile applications published by Starmap Labs are governed by separate end-user license agreements presented inside each app and by the terms of the platform from which you download them (Apple App Store or Google Play).

1. Acceptance

You represent that you are at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or that you are using the Site with the consent of a parent or guardian. You also represent that you are legally able to enter into these Terms.

2. Using the Site

You may browse and read the Site for lawful informational purposes. You agree not to:

Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or regulation;
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to, disrupt, overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the Site or its underlying infrastructure;
Use automated systems to scrape, harvest, or copy large portions of the Site without our prior written consent;
Transmit malware, unlawful material, or content that infringes another party's rights;
Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting us.

3. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, layout, illustrations, photographs, the Starmap Labs name and logo, and the overall visual design — is owned by Starmap Labs or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Sample product names, artwork, and descriptions shown on the Site relate to our own or partner-owned products and remain the property of their respective owners.

You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, republish, or commercially exploit content from the Site without prior written permission, except that brief quotations with attribution and a link back to the source are permitted for review or informational purposes. No licence or ownership right is granted to you beyond the limited right to view the Site.

4. Enquiries & Submissions

When you email us, you retain ownership of your information, but you grant Starmap Labs the limited right to read, store, and use your message to respond and evaluate the enquiry.

Please don't send unsolicited confidential ideas.

We receive many project enquiries. Unless a mutual non-disclosure agreement has been signed in advance, information you send is not treated as confidential, and we will not be liable for its use or disclosure. Request an NDA before sharing commercially sensitive material.

5. Third-Party Links

The Site may link to third-party websites and services, including app stores and our service providers. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, availability, privacy practices, or terms of third-party sites. Following such links is at your own risk.

6. Project Engagements

Nothing on the Site constitutes a binding offer to perform services. Any design, development, consulting, or maintenance engagement is subject to a separately negotiated and signed agreement (for example, a statement of work or services agreement). In the event of a conflict between such an agreement and these Terms, the signed agreement controls for that engagement.

7. Disclaimer

The Site and all its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, merchantability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any content is complete, current, or suitable for your needs. Portfolio descriptions reflect representative work and are not promises or guarantees of specific results.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Starmap Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability relating to the Site shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for use of the Site (which is zero) or the smallest amount permitted by applicable law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Starmap Labs from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another party's rights.

10. Changes to the Site & Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms; the “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction from which Starmap Labs operates the Site, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise.
